This May, a unique cycling event called the “Tour de TIPS” is being held to raise money for, and awareness about, the Crime Stoppers program. Starting in the town of Newmarket, riders will cycle 225 scenic kilometres over 2 days to the finish line at Hernder Estates Winery in Niagara Region.
In Peel, we have a strong history of supporting Crime Stoppers, a very successful program, which is funded exclusively through private and corporate contributions.
A lot of police officers pledged their participation in the 2010 Tour de TIPS, and they are looking for other riders to join them in this worthwhile cause. If you like to ride, and want to help keep Crime Stoppers successful, then please register yourself as a rider and come out for this unique two-day ride.
To register, or if you have any questions, please contact A/Sgt. Iris Johnston at 905.453.2121 ext 4876, [email protected] or Colleen Hawes at ext 4877, [email protected]
