Councillor Fonseca has been notified that plans for runway maintenance is scheduled for resurfacing of runway 06L/24R (one of the east/west runways, located in the southern area of the airport). The first phase will begin on April 23, 2018 and is anticipated to be completed in June. If required, the second phase would be undertaken in the fall. Unlike the previous construction, these north/south runways will only be closed in the evenings.
