Did you know that you can get a snapshot of the crime reported in your neighbourhood for the last 30 days?
Simply go to www.peelpolice.ca, click on the crime mapping Quick Link, agree to the disclaimer, zoom in on your neighbourhood, click on the orange “C” button at the top of the page and choose from Homicide, Robbery, Muggings, Break and Enter, Auto Theft, Theft from Vehicle or Mischief. The appropriate color balloon will be displayed on the map. You can even overlay all of the crimes on your map at once. This tool will keep you informed of happenings in your neighbourhood. Hopefully, they will develop an app that would allow people to receive email alerts as soon as the crime is registered in their area. The better informed we are about our neighbourhood, the more vigilant we can be in potentially preventing crime.
