There are a lot of dog lovers in Rockwood. On any given day, even through rain, sleet or snow, we’re out walking our pets and getting our exercise as well, as we try to keep up with our canine friends. Your dog loves you for this routine, however your neighbour will love you even more if you consider these friendly tips.
1) Walk your dog on a leash to keep it safe from traffic. The leash also gives dog owners control if one dog meets another and the mood turns to hostility.
2) If you really want your dog to be able to run freely remember we have a leash free zone in our very own Garnetwood Park.
3) Please remember to carry plastic bags on your dog walks so that you can pick-up and carry away your doggy’s doo doo. No one wants their lawn full of smelly surprises when the snow melts.
