close to the curb in many areas, they managed to scrape the boulevards on other streets.
Turns on to many streets were difficult, as the plows made the sweep too far into the street, leaving the windrow several feet, if not a whole lane, from the edge of the curb. This was a serious cause for concern in many intersections when approaching
oncoming traffic.
This winter residents also voiced complaints that the plows created a lot of damage to grass and trees. According to Board member, Joe Silva, the snow
plow not only scraped down his street, but also tore a strip off the boulevard in front of his home, removing the grass and leaving a patch of dirt on top of the snow.
If this was not bad enough, the plow also hit a tree leaving a rather large hole, which will probably result in the demise of the tree.
Now that the snow has melted, should you find any damage to your lawn or boulevard, you can contact the Works Department at the City (3-1-1), and they will send someone out to deal with any
damages.
