By now you will have received a postcard from the City advising that a charge for storm water will be added to your water bill commencing in 2016. The levy is to offset the cost of maintaining and upgrading the storm-water system. The charge for each home is based on the area of your roof which is measured using aerial photography. Charges range from $50 to $170 per year. A system of billing units ranging from .5 to 1.7 has been used to calculate the cost based on a unit rate of $100/ unit.
